FEDDE LE GRAND TO SUPPORT COLDPLAY IN CONCERT

Dutch DJ and producer Fedde le Grand (Put Your Hands Up For Detroit) has been confirmed as the official guest artist for Coldplay’s American Express ‘Unstaged’ concert at the Plaza del Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid on October 26th, following the global success of his remix of Paradise, the second single to be taken from Coldplay’s critically acclaimed fifth studio album Mylo Xyloto (Capitol Records).

The track, #1 on influential music download site Beatport – and Le Grand’s fifth number 1 this year alone – premiered worldwide on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show and has taken international dance floors and radio stations by storm.

Le Grand, who rises 7 places in this year’s DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll to the #14 spot, will open the concert, which will then see Coldplay streamed live across the globe to millions via the power of YouTube and VEVO, filmed and directed by award-winning filmmaker and photographer Anton Corbijn (The American, Control). Fans in New York City will also be able to catch the performance on four large LED screens with in-built sound situated in Time Square.

For Le Grand it is a dream come true. “I think this is the first time Coldplay has asked a DJ to join them for the support. It is a huge honor. But at the same time it feels like a logical next step. In my music I am always looking for exciting new connections. Different elements that come together and create something new. I feel you can hear that in the remix I did for Coldplay's "Paradise" as well.”

*Hot property* Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike

Biography
"Belgian brothers Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike have come a very long way in a very short time. In just two years, they’ve bypassed the usual steps to making it big by proving they have star quality in everything they do. They are sought after producers, remixers to the A-list elite and number 1 hit makers. The accolades they’ve clocked up within this relatively short time are equal to those some DJ stalwarts amass during a lifetime!

In 2009 their remix of Dave Lambert’s ‘Work That Body’ gathered global attention and sparked the interest of label boss Axwell, who immediately commissioned them for Abel Ramos’ ‘Rotterdam City of Love’. The success that came with this remix topped every major download chart in the world, and with this, the request came flooding in. Everyone from Tiesto to Snoop Dogg fell under the spell of Dimitri and Mike, and their interpretation of Swedish House Mafia’s ‘Leave The World Behind’ became the soundtrack of Ibiza’s summer of 2009, as the Swedes relentlessly hammered it every week at their Pacha residency. This led to Sebastian Ingrosso name checking them as ‘breakthrough producers of the year’ in DJ Mag.

The burgeoning duo is also highly accomplished producers with a string of top-flight results to their name. They scored a number one hit in Belgium with ‘Liquid Skies’, and their version of ‘Pump Up The Jam’ with Technotronic on Refune was one of the most heavily supported tracks of the year. In 2010, Dimitri, Mike and Dada Life produced the smash single ‘Tomorrow’, which became the anthem for Belgian festival Tomorrowland, and sparked a flourishing relationship with organizers ID&T. More recently, Dimitri and Mike collaborated with Axwell for a remix of David Tort’s ‘One Look’. The track immediately became a worldwide dance-floor killer and was a huge success during Miami’s 2011 Music Week.

The future is looking very bright for the brothers, with a tour schedule that’s beginning to read like the departure board of JFK. Remixes and releases are lined up to be released on labels like Size, Dim Mak, Subliminal and Axtone; collaborations with some really big names are already underway and a debut album is in the pipeline before the end of this year."

Ace Agency proudly presents: Bassjackers

"Bassjackers aka Marlon Flohr and Ralph van Hilst could not foresee what was in store for them when they started out with their collaboration. Marlon was already Dj-ing for a while and Ralph experimented a lot with making different kinds of dance music. Marlon was mainly playing house music at the time when the idea came to push Ralph’s productions in that same direction so that Marlon could play the tracks in his sets. The first track they were both satisfied with was "Beat Cut".
"Beat Cut" was picked up by Fedde le Grand and kick-started their career. What followed was a solid stream of tracks and remixes which were supported by all the top jocks and scored big on the international dance charts. Their remix for Dada Life scored #1 on hypem.com (the international hype machine). The success in the studio was also taken to the clubs and with a packed schedule of 250 gigs a year Bassjackers were definitely established in the dance scene.
Their big break came in 2011 when Tiesto discovered their dancefloor bomb "Mush Mush" and released it on his imprint "Musical Freedom". It dominated the Beatport top 10 for over 2 months and grew to be one of the biggest club / festival tracks of 2011. It is that track that every DJ can play to destroy the dance floor, and so they did. Just to drop a few names; Tiesto, Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Afrojack, Sander van Doorn, Martin Solveig, Calvin Harris, Benny Benassi, Judge Jules, and many others supported this smashing production.
This gave them a major career boost. Remixing for A-list artists like Rihanna and Moby, playing in venues like the Privilege in Ibiza alongside Tiesto and touring around the globe to rock crowds is just the beginning. Ace Agency is looking forward to working with Bassjackers and is honored to welcome them on board of ACE!"

Can U feel it - The UMF Experience

UMF Films releases ‘CAN U FEEL IT’ Official Movie Trailer # 1

There are many adjectives one could conjure to describe the world’s biggest and most famous dance music event, but in the case of Ultra Music Festival – the ‘Ultra’ bit kinda says it all. As the festival Goliath tears towards its 14th edition in Downtown Miami during Miami Music Week in March 2012, and with pre-sale tickets selling out in record time, crashing a server field in the process…the buzz is already at fever pitch.
But the hype is about to get a whole lot bigger…because pulling out all the stops once again, the same people who brought you the Ultra Music Festival also created the separate “UMF” and “UMF Films” brands and are rewarding faithful music fans with a stunning, ‘no expense spared’ feature-length documentary…‘CAN U FEEL IT’!
Here is the first of two exquisite movie trailers, shot in breath-taking FULL HD! This extraordinary, energy-laden 90-second snapshot is not only a stunning piece of film in itself, it also provides a tantalizing insight into what’s in store when the full movie drops early 2012.

Created and directed by the man behind ‘Final Kid’, Charly Friedrichs – ‘CAN U FEEL IT’ powerfully documents the truly global explosion of dance music that’s unfolding before our eyes and immerses the audience headfirst in the full “UMF Experience”. The title says it all. Both the experience and the story are told through the detailed, honest and first-hand insight of five of the finest, longest-standing and knowledgeable DJs in the industry; From David Guetta and Tiësto to Carl Cox, Boys Noize and Fedde le Grand, each star gives their own unique perspective on the reasons behind this unprecedented phenomenon in the most prominent and fitting location imaginable – Ultra Music Festival! While it seems that releasing movies about the Dance Music movement is the ‘in thing to do’, it’s this definitive offering from Final Kid and UMF Films that will no doubt set the precedent for how feature length movies on said subject should be produced and delivered. Take one look at this trailer and you’ll find yourselves in complete agreement…guaranteed!
About ULTRA MUSIC FESITVAL & UMF WORLDWIDE:
As the world’s most famous outdoor electronic music event, Ultra Music Festival has won “Best Music Event” by the International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) in 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and “Best International Dance Music Festival” by the Ibiza DJ Awards in 2008. In 2011, ULTRA drew 150,000 attendees coming from 71 countries & territories and all 50 U.S. states and Puerto Rico, making it the first ever 3-day music festival of its kind to completely Sell Out 150,000 tickets almost two months before the event. The 2011 edition featured more than 300 artists performing on 27 stages over a three-day period. Originally created as a pure EDM (electronic dance music) festival in 1999, ULTRA has grown through the years to present not only the genre’s hottest, biggest and best headline artists (The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, Tiësto, deadmau5, David Guetta, Armin Van Buuren, Underworld, Carl Cox, Fatboy Slim, Justice and Moby, to name a few), but also crossover headline bands that incorporate EDM elements in their music and have a history or new beginning in the EDM community and culture (The Cure, The Killers, The Black Eyed Peas, Santogold, New Order, The Ting Tings, Duran Duran, The Bravery).
In addition to the annual Miami festival, the organizers have created the separate UMF WORLDWIDE brand, which continues expanding internationally with sold out UMF festivals and events in Brazil, Ibiza and many new territories soon to be announced.
Ultra Enterprises, Inc., UMF Films and the owners and operators of the ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL, UMF FILMS and UMF events, films and trademarks are not affiliated with any other Ultra-named entity.

Livin the 'Cream' ( 8/10/11 )

Saturday 8th October 2011...a date I will never forget!

Cream celebrated its 19th birthday at its birth home Nation with an array of big name DJs & a sell out crowd of 3,000 excited revellers, travelling from near & far to dance the night away!

In all the years I have been to Cream they have never disappointed. Hosting the best nights, with some of the greatest DJ names around, Cream & it's staff deserve a big thumbs up for throwing an epic party...you do Liverpool proud!

Thanks to Ace Agency I was able to spend time with some of their artists ( Bobby Burns, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Afrojack ) who played in the main room of Cream, giving me backstage access to get some great pictures of all the action and some videos of the night too.
What a privilege to be in the company of some of the most genuine, down to earth people I've ever had the honour of meeting, so thank you to the following for making my night so much more special...

First up in the main room ( 00:00 - 01:30 ) was Bobby Burns who played a blindin set, pumping up the crowd with his signature Dutch beats...a great way to get the night started!

Thanks to Bobby for an amazing set...was a pleasure to meet you =)

Next up ( 01:30 - 03:00 ) was Calvin Harris! I have been a fan of Calvins for a long time now so imagine my delight at meeting him backstage & having a photo taken with him....such an honour!! He's so tall! A really nice guy & boy can he spin those choons...my highlight was dancing to Feel so close...kinda ironic really ;)

Legend!

The next act from Ace was a duo from Belgium, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. They played from 03:00 - 04:30 with a medley of mixes from Martin Solveig's Hello to RHCP's Otherside, and in my opinion stole the show!

Whippin the crowd into a frenzy! Love these guys!

Last up in the main room was Afrojack ( 04:30 - 06:00 ). The crowd were still pumped & ready for the Dutch sensation to blow them away with his distinct sound...and he certainly didn't fail to do so! Playing favourites like Take over control & Bangduck he managed to keep the crowd going right up until the end at 6am...what a night!

Afrojack certainly made his presence noticed!

Massive thanks to Gill & Laura ( Cream ) & Tony Dekker ( Ace ) & all the DJs for making my night so fantastic =)

Cream celebrates it's 19th birthday!

The brand name 'Cream' is known worldwide & is host to THE best parties held in THE best clubs....the Cream de la Cream shall we say?! ;)

But how many of you knew it was founded in Liverpool??

Cream was originally founded by Darren Hughes, Joseph Murphy, Andy Carroll and James Barton.

Back in 1992, in a disused warehouse ( Nation ) in Wolstenholme Square, Cream held weekly nights up until 2002. Paul Bleasdale was resident for 10 years!
Over the ten years of weekly Saturday nights at Nation, the club played host to many international DJ superstars, including Paul Oakenfold (who was resident DJ throughout 1997 and 1998 in the mighty courtyard - where I was to be seen every week possible! ), Paul van Dyk, Sasha plus early exclusive DJ sets from The Chemical Brothers.
Since the end of the weekly nights, Cream has continued to hold around 4 nights per year at Nation, with their birthday events pulling in sell out crowds thanks to big DJ names like Laidback Luke, Deadmau5, Wolfgang Gartner, Sidney Samson, Funkagenda, to name but a few!

So what ( or more importantly who ) can revellers expect this year??

Full line-up:

Afrojack, Calvin Harris, Markus Schulz, Above & Beyond, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Bobby Burns, Rob Harnetty, Leroy Styles, Jaz von D, as well as residents Gareth Wyn, Anthony Probyn, Lee Ellis, Jemmy & Andy Mac.

Back in the late nineties you could not have dragged me from the courtyard without me kicking & screaming as I lived, breathed & danced Oakie....but these days you will find me in the main room, and this is the reason why:-

Bobby Burns 00:00-0130
Calvin Harris 01:30-03:00
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike 03:00-04:30
Afrojack 04:30-06:00

See you on the dancefloor!
