*Hot property* Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike

Biography
"Belgian brothers Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike have come a very long way in a very short time. In just two years, they’ve bypassed the usual steps to making it big by proving they have star quality in everything they do. They are sought after producers, remixers to the A-list elite and number 1 hit makers. The accolades they’ve clocked up within this relatively short time are equal to those some DJ stalwarts amass during a lifetime!

In 2009 their remix of Dave Lambert’s ‘Work That Body’ gathered global attention and sparked the interest of label boss Axwell, who immediately commissioned them for Abel Ramos’ ‘Rotterdam City of Love’. The success that came with this remix topped every major download chart in the world, and with this, the request came flooding in. Everyone from Tiesto to Snoop Dogg fell under the spell of Dimitri and Mike, and their interpretation of Swedish House Mafia’s ‘Leave The World Behind’ became the soundtrack of Ibiza’s summer of 2009, as the Swedes relentlessly hammered it every week at their Pacha residency. This led to Sebastian Ingrosso name checking them as ‘breakthrough producers of the year’ in DJ Mag.

The burgeoning duo is also highly accomplished producers with a string of top-flight results to their name. They scored a number one hit in Belgium with ‘Liquid Skies’, and their version of ‘Pump Up The Jam’ with Technotronic on Refune was one of the most heavily supported tracks of the year. In 2010, Dimitri, Mike and Dada Life produced the smash single ‘Tomorrow’, which became the anthem for Belgian festival Tomorrowland, and sparked a flourishing relationship with organizers ID&T. More recently, Dimitri and Mike collaborated with Axwell for a remix of David Tort’s ‘One Look’. The track immediately became a worldwide dance-floor killer and was a huge success during Miami’s 2011 Music Week.

The future is looking very bright for the brothers, with a tour schedule that’s beginning to read like the departure board of JFK. Remixes and releases are lined up to be released on labels like Size, Dim Mak, Subliminal and Axtone; collaborations with some really big names are already underway and a debut album is in the pipeline before the end of this year."

Livin the 'Cream' ( 8/10/11 )

Saturday 8th October 2011...a date I will never forget!

Cream celebrated its 19th birthday at its birth home Nation with an array of big name DJs & a sell out crowd of 3,000 excited revellers, travelling from near & far to dance the night away!

In all the years I have been to Cream they have never disappointed. Hosting the best nights, with some of the greatest DJ names around, Cream & it's staff deserve a big thumbs up for throwing an epic party...you do Liverpool proud!

Thanks to Ace Agency I was able to spend time with some of their artists ( Bobby Burns, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Afrojack ) who played in the main room of Cream, giving me backstage access to get some great pictures of all the action and some videos of the night too.
What a privilege to be in the company of some of the most genuine, down to earth people I've ever had the honour of meeting, so thank you to the following for making my night so much more special...

First up in the main room ( 00:00 - 01:30 ) was Bobby Burns who played a blindin set, pumping up the crowd with his signature Dutch beats...a great way to get the night started!

Thanks to Bobby for an amazing set...was a pleasure to meet you =)

Next up ( 01:30 - 03:00 ) was Calvin Harris! I have been a fan of Calvins for a long time now so imagine my delight at meeting him backstage & having a photo taken with him....such an honour!! He's so tall! A really nice guy & boy can he spin those choons...my highlight was dancing to Feel so close...kinda ironic really ;)

Legend!

The next act from Ace was a duo from Belgium, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. They played from 03:00 - 04:30 with a medley of mixes from Martin Solveig's Hello to RHCP's Otherside, and in my opinion stole the show!

Whippin the crowd into a frenzy! Love these guys!

Last up in the main room was Afrojack ( 04:30 - 06:00 ). The crowd were still pumped & ready for the Dutch sensation to blow them away with his distinct sound...and he certainly didn't fail to do so! Playing favourites like Take over control & Bangduck he managed to keep the crowd going right up until the end at 6am...what a night!

Afrojack certainly made his presence noticed!

Massive thanks to Gill & Laura ( Cream ) & Tony Dekker ( Ace ) & all the DJs for making my night so fantastic =)
