My life in Music ♫

This blog is an outlet for me to share my passion of EDM, DJs, venues & the clubbing scene in general. But just who is Miss Ess Jay? Well I am Sammy Jane & I live in sunny England & yes I do have a warped sense of humour lol!
Sammy Jane aka Miss Ess Jay

I have loved music for as long as I can remember & have wanted to surround myself with it ever since. Music is a natural drug to me & always makes me feel happy, so as soon as I could go out to nightclubs and dance the night away I was there from Thursday through til Monday partying non stop! Local clubs provided my fix for a while but soon the bright lights of Liverpool were calling me & then it was every weekend possible dancing in the courtyard of Cream worshipping the legend that is Paul Oakenfold. This is were my love of EDM flourished & still today I get goosebumps remembering those times upon hearing classic choons such as Skydive-I feel wonderful, Bullet in the gun, Wide open space & the beautifully haunting choon Mystery Land.

Who's that chick at Frame 2:57? Yep it's lil ole me!

When I worked in Kavos, Corfu in 1996 after somewhat falling in love with its party atmosphere in 1995, I found myself experiencing the holiday atmosphere along with all the other crazy Brits and hearing choons such as N- Trance Set you free, The Bucketheads The Bomb & Jaydee Plastic Dreams.

Enjoying a cocktail in Kavos :')
Not content with a just a boring 9-5 job I got myself a weekend job in the local pub for extra pocket money, & of course to be in a party environment & have lotsa fun while I worked ;) The music was supplied by the 2 Deejays who played all the latest dance choons at the time such as Da Hool Meet her at The Love Parade, Darude Sandstorm and Agnelli & Nelson's El Nino.

Doesn't look much but this was the place to be in Liscard!
As well as frequent nights out in Cream, Garlands was the other Liverpool hotspot that played all the best music, but without the big name DJs at the helm, & I would hear dancefloor fillers such as Sash Encore un Fois, Ultra Nate Free & Phats & Small Turn Around.

2006 will always be a special year to me coz that is when Fedde Le Grand blew me away with Put your hands up 4 Detroit!! This track was the 1st in a long time that had really made any big impact on me & I still love it to this day & Fedde will always have a special place in my ♥ =)

Put your hands up for Fedde Le Grand ♥

I had one of the best holidays ever in June 2010 when 12 of us descended on the party holiday Isle of Magaluf for 3 fun filled crazy nites! This is where I heard the beautiful summer choon Stereo Love by new kid on the block Edward Maya.

1 crazy nite in Maga ♫

I had one of the best nights ever back in March this year when Cream came to town bringing big names like Wolfgang Gartner, Above and Beyond, Sidney Samson & Funkagenda. But it was a certain Dutch Deejay that got my pulse racing & kept me dancing non stop for the 2 hours he played his AMAZING set & my love affair with Laidback Luke has just grew & grew!

Me & lovely Lukey ♥
I would like to leave you with what I think is the best video ever created ;)
