Hope all is well!!

As you probably will have noticed I'm having such an amazing productive time in my studio lately. The tracks just keep coming.. This time I've got two new things to tell you about.

Firstly my remix for Timeflies just got released. It's a really amazing track called I Choose U and is currently climbing the Beatport charts already. So if you got it already, thanks for that! If not, here is the Beatport link. You can also find it on Soundcloud. And the Timeflies guys have been absolutely amazing, creating this video specifically for my remix so if you haven't seen it yet, go check it out!

Then if that wasn't enough already, you can already start preparing yourself for my next big release coming forth on June 24th on Spinnin' Records. Together with Sultan + Ned Shepard I've cooked-up a rework of one of the best tracks in dancefloor history: No Good.

When I learned we were going to be allowed to officially release this one I was just over the moon as I just love the original and the vocal is just amazing, so I'm very happy that we'll now be able to share our version of this legendary track with all of you. You can catch a preview on my Soundcloud. And definitely be sure to also check out the official video for the track as that's turned out amazing as well.

So sorry to say that due to a jaw infection I have to have urgent surgery tomorrow, and I will be in no condition to travel to Hull on Friday and play my BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. I am very sorry for any problems this may cause fans who were looking forward to see me play live in Hull, everyone who was looking forward to checking this set out on the radio or internet and of course the folks at the BBC. I am disappointed I cannot perform as I was looking forward to kick off 2012 in this amazing way. FEDDE LE GRAND TO SUPPORT COLDPLAY IN CONCERT

Dutch DJ and producer Fedde le Grand (Put Your Hands Up For Detroit) has been confirmed as the official guest artist for Coldplay’s American Express ‘Unstaged’ concert at the Plaza del Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid on October 26^th, following the global success of his remix of Paradise, the second single to be taken from Coldplay’s critically acclaimed fifth studio album Mylo Xyloto (Capitol Records).

 

The track, #1 on influential music download site Beatport – and Le Grand’s fifth number 1 this year alone – premiered worldwide on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show and has taken international dance floors and radio stations by storm.

 

Le Grand, who rises 7 places in this year’s DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll to the #14 spot, will open the concert, which will then see Coldplay streamed live across the globe to millions via the power of YouTube and VEVO, filmed and directed by award-winning filmmaker and photographer Anton Corbijn (The American, Control). Fans in New York City will also be able to catch the performance on four large LED screens with in-built sound situated in Time Square.

 

For Le Grand it is a dream come true. “I think this is the first time Coldplay has asked a DJ to join them for the support. It is a huge honor. But at the same time it feels like a logical next step. One June day, three Fedde Le Grand community members came together through their love of Fedde's music to dedicate a Facebook page to him, his music, his website & all his loyal fans throughout the world.

Sammy ( moi ), Kristina & Areti had met previously via Fedde's online community & Twitter, and were soon firm friends. We shared our thoughts about Fedde's music with each other & soon decided to give back to Fedde by starting a Facebook page for like minded people to join & share their love for Le Grand.

Flamingo Recordings is the brain child of two of the greatest deejays to come from The Netherlands : Fedde Le Grand & Funkerman. So whats new at Flamingo? Where do I start! Fedde alone has been knocking out hit after hit this year with 3 consecutive #1s on Beatport! Including his hit track with German supremo Patric La Funk, which has shaped Valentine's day for years to come : Autosave.

OK how many of you admit to playing the same song over & over again?! Well I do it...can't help it! Some songs just demand replay coz of the genius production that has gone into making them! Whether they are originals, or a remix where someone has put their own stamp on it ( prime example Binary Finary 1998 ( Matt Darey remix ) ), I lurrrve these choooons!


This one has got me BIG TIME!! May have worn out the MP3 actually lol! Big up to Tom Buster for this AMAZING remix of an already AMAZING song......

This next one is by, in my opinion, the best DJ/Producer in the world ( OK I'm biased! So fkin sue me ;PP ) Fedde Le Grand has been an unstoppable force this year with hit after hit, but this latest track has got me very excited......

I am just gonna steer away from the Dutchies for a moment ( coz there's still a few to come! ) and introduce you to 3 young talents from Down Under : Chris Sterges, Mitch Thomas & Jeremy Bunawan, collectively known as S.M.J, who have (unofficially) remixed this lil beauty.......

OK back to those Dutchies, who seem to be taking over the world! This superb remix is from my lovely friend Johnny Deekay.......
