On Saturday 7th September, Manchester's longest running club night, Tangled, celebrate their momentous 20th birthday in true style.
Room 1: Dave Seaman, Terry Pointon, DJ Rascal
In the loft Tangled are proud to welcome one of the legends of electronic house music. Dave Seaman is one of the original movers and shakers of the UK house movement. He has been DJing for over 25 years and has played in over 70 countries around the world. He was an original editor of the clubbers bible, Mixmag, and has remixed and produced for everybody from David Bowie to New Order and Kylie Minogue to the Pet Shop Boys. He has created over 20 mix compilations for the likes of Global Underground, Renaissance & Radio 1′s Essential Mix and also been the main man behind the independent dance music labels, Stress Records, Audio Therapy and now his new imprint, Selador Recordings.
Room 2 : Plump DJs, Steve Thorpe, Resistance, Nick Dent
In the basement Tangled Breaks are very excited to have the Plump DJs making their long overdue debut in the breaks room. After 15 years Lee Rous and Andy Gardner will be taking to the decks at one of the clubs that first introduced their music to the
clubbers of Manchester. For this special event the Plumps will be playing a greatest hits set exclusively for the Tangled 20th Birthday. Fans will be able hear all their classic tunes from Scram to System Addict, from Bumper to Big Groover Fucker. This is one show breaks fans will not want to miss!
Room 3 : Majefa & Plasma Future – Akira Kayosa, Tom Rains, Andy Croson, Ian Wire
Two of Manchester's finest trance and progressive house nights Majefa and Plasma Future are joining forces to bring a euphoric selection of pulsating music to room 3 of Sound Control. Tangled fans old and new will be taken right back to the ecstatic days of the Phoenix with a music selection carefully chosen for this special occasion.
